ARTIST STATEMENT
Bisi Onisemo is a Contemporary Abstract Artist, she lives in London, United Kingdom. She has passion for arts and creativity. She creates textured abstract painting, her artworks are inspired by colours, texture, shapes, nature and people. Bisi’s artistic style combines modernity and abstraction, using bold colours and dynamic compositions. Her works evoke energy and movement, inviting viewers to explore their own imagination. Bisi skillfully manipulates texture, colour, and finishes to express his artistic vision.
Bisi creates collages also, her love for colours inspired her to start collages to create classic art pieces. The collages are inspired by colours, magazines, nature and environment. The collages matches well together, flutter & string across the page. She usually complement the colours to bring out the beauty of the collage art. A piece could display growth, surroundings, emotion, action, adventures, landscapes, nature etc. The colour combination adds quite a lot of dimension to the message her art displays.

Bisi has a deep understanding of composition and she's confident with colours. Bisi is knowledgeable about the principles of art: balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, and unity/variety. Bisi knows how to use art materials well and she uses non-traditional tools too.
She has exhibited at the Vibe Gallery, Bond House Projects ZAP Summer Exhibition and Parallax Art Fair in London.
An invitation was extended to her in September 2021 to participate in the International Association of Visual Artists (IAVA) by IAVA. Bisi’s painting “Stormy” was featured in House & Garden's March 2022 issue magazine alongside some amazing artists. In September 2024, Bisi was selected by Plogix Art Gallery to showcase her artworks at the Mobile Digital Screens at the prestigious Miami Art Basel, taking place from the 6th - 8th December 2024. In October 2024, Bisi's artworks were selected by Plogix Art Gallery for a digital exhibition at the New York's Iconic Times Square, taking place on the 21st November 2024.
